now that the election is over there is a new concern, you will hear about it a lot. you will hear the term fiscal cliff and the problems if there is no resolution. what does it mean and what does it mean for you. we're going to explain. >> you know people find the terminology like this boring but if things are not done in the weeks to come you will know what is going on. think about it this way. you tapped out your credit cards, you cannot make the minimum payments ed -- and creditors are calling and you will take a pay cut at work. and ending the tax cuts means families like you and me, we'll see our taxes go up by $1000.

meanwhile the spending cuts made to defense, medicare and long term unemployment benefits n all the tax hikes and cuts could add up to nearly 800 billion-dollars if they stay in place for all of 2013. driving over that would mean a negative economic growth that puts us back into a recession. >> think in terms of what is happening now in europe what we have seen in the headline for the past 18 months. that could make its way to our doorstep. the markets are an indication. they're not optimistic. the dow dropped by 300 points and investors are worried but there is some pretty much on people on both sides of the aisle. they now are saying they want to play hard ball and who blinks first ahead of the deadline and by the way. we see that in terms of six weeks out. no. the house of representatives will meet for 16 days between now and that end of year deadline they return to captiol hill next tuesday.
